Welcome
The friendly and inclusive churches of St Bartholomew, St Lawrence and St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate serve the people of Hyde, Abbotts Barton and the city centre of Winchester, England.
The Easter Garden (on the front lawn at St Bartholomew’s) and the beautiful floral cross (on the outside wall of St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate) are visual reminders of the glorious message of the resurrection!
Soil: if you are rooted in the love of Christ, you will have all that you need to thrive spiritually;
Stones: as you find your path through life, Jesus is at your side, even in the rough and hard times;
Crosses: we all have a cross to bear, but you can come to Jesus with your heavy burdens and he will give you rest;
Evergreens: God’s love goes on and on and on! We can share in it because Jesus shared our human life, and God forgives you the sins that separate you from his love;
Flowers: you are beautiful and precious in God’s sight – that’s why Jesus died and rose again, for you;
Empty Tomb: the resurrection of Jesus proves the supreme power of God’s love. The light of Christ overcomes all darkness, even the darkness of death.

You are welcome here! We hold regular weekly services in all three churches, run a term-time baby & toddler group called Little Wrigglers and hold various social events.
