Annual Meetings and Reports

Each Church of England parish holds two annual meetings (normally consecutive), usually in March or April, looking back at the previous calendar year. 

First, a meeting to elect the churchwardens, at which anyone may vote who is resident in the parish, as well as those on the electoral roll who live outside the parish boundaries. This emphasises the fact that churchwardens serve the whole parish and not just those who attend church. 

Second, an “annual parochial church meeting” (APCM), at which only those on the electoral roll may vote. This meeting reviews the activities and finances of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) for the preceding calendar year, and appoints its officers and auditor.

The meetings in 2024, looking back at 2023, are being held at St Bartholomew on 14th April (Agenda and Minutes) at St Lawrence on 21st April (Agenda and Minutes), following the morning services. Trustees’ Annual Reports and Financial Statements

As both parishes are now Registered Charities, they are required to submit to the Charity Commission a formal Trustees’ Annual Report with Financial Statements, which can be found below:
